Patfatdaddy

I am Pat Helton. I retired in 2001 from the State prison system. I love to fish, build rods and cook. I make a  brisket that will melt in your mouth. I also cook everything from cfs to pies.
I like to build rods but I won't let it get in the way of my fishing.
I have been married 32 years to Gladna and I have three kids and five grandkids. One son lives here in West Columbia and owns his own business, one son lives in Idaho and is an electrician, my daughter is living with me for a couple of weeks until she and three of my grandbabies join her husband in Korea. He is an Army Major and will be in Korea for the next two years.
I am excited about our club and hope that someday we will be known through-out the US. I am taking care of the Rods for Soldiers program and really enjoy it.
I will post up some pics as soon as I get a new camera. My old one jumped out of my hand onto the concrete driveway.

Hi Pat glad to be part of your club even thought I am not down in your great state.  Some day I hope we can all wet a line together.

Doc
I would give 10 spools of thread and my best thread pick to meet you. I have admired your work for a long time.

I am going to try to attach some photos. I will go from some of my first rods to recent rods.

Pat

I think a couple of fish pictures might have gotten in there.

Pat
You just hit on a subject that I love "FOOD". I bought 2 cook books while in the USA this year and have been looking for a couple more. I would love to get a cook book on Mexican food and another on Texas food. There are so many out there I am not sure which ones are good.
Would you mind sharing your receipe on brisket would love to give it a try.

Sandy
