Howdy folks, I'm Jerry Poindexter, Goags on the 2cool site. I'm a native Texan, though we lived in coastal SE Fla., from ages 5-15. Got my love for the salt there and can't shake it, even though I live in Allen(a suburb N. of Dallas). As you might suspect from my 2cool name, I grad'd from A&M in zoology, and then dental school at UTHSC-San Antonio. I'm happily divorced and have a grown son and daughter, and 2 grandaughters. I love all things outdoors, especially fishing and hunting. I build mostly inshore wade rods, as that's how i like to fish. I fished the Port O'Connor area alot when I was in school in the 70's, but have been concentrating on the Laguna Madre/Baffin area for the last 10 or 15 yrs. Rodbuilders are some of the nicest folks I've ever met, and I'm proud to be a member of the TRB!
Great hearing a bit more about you Jerry. Hope to meet you in person some day. Wouldnt it be cool if we could all wet a line on the water some day. I would need some teaching on the local species but I am a quick learner (at some things) I am happily divorced too. Me an the EX are better friends now then were were when we were married.
Ouch you said that horrible word "dentist". When I was a lot younger I got thrown out of the dentist because I bet his finger, I still can't see why he threw me out as he should not have had his finger in my mouth.
I have to agree with you Jerry rodbuulders are some of the necest folk and all to willing to help a lending hand.
